ROS Beauty Introduces ‘Hand It Over’ Moisturising Hand Gel

ROS Beauty, a beauty brand focused on making everyday beauty routines simpler and more enjoyable, has launched Hand It Over Moisturising Hand Gel, a lightweight, skincare-led hand treatment designed to make hand care easier to incorporate into daily routines.

Priced at ₹599, the new hand gel takes a different approach to traditional hand creams by using a lightweight gel texture. The product was developed around the observation that consumers may understand the importance of hand care but often avoid using hand creams because they can feel heavy, take time to absorb or leave a slippery residue.

Rethinking Everyday Hand Care

ROS Beauty identified an opportunity to rethink the overall hand-care experience rather than simply introduce another moisturising cream. Although consumers are increasingly investing in structured skincare routines, hand care often remains an occasional step, typically used when the hands begin to feel dry.

The need for a more convenient format is particularly relevant to everyday conditions in India, where humidity, frequent hand washing and sanitising, as well as movement between outdoor heat and air-conditioned spaces, can make rich textures uncomfortable.

Hand It Over has therefore been developed as a fast-absorbing gel that is designed to feel lightweight and easy to use throughout the day. It absorbs without leaving a greasy or slippery residue, making it suitable for use after hand washing, between tasks or whenever the skin needs additional care.

According to clinical testing, the formula demonstrated significantly improved skin hydration for up to 24 hours following a single application.

Skincare Ingredients in a Hand Treatment

The innovation extends beyond the gel texture. ROS Beauty has adopted a skincare-focused formulation approach, combining 2% Niacinamide, a Ceramide Complex and a Peptide Complex with Retinol, Sodium Hyaluronate, Shea Butter, Olive Oil, Vitamin E and Allantoin.

Niacinamide helps support the skin barrier and improve the appearance of uneven-looking skin, while the Ceramide Complex is designed to reinforce the barrier and minimise moisture loss. The Peptide Complex supports smoother, firmer and healthier-looking skin, while Sodium Hyaluronate helps attract and retain moisture for a more hydrated and plumper-looking appearance.

The inclusion of Retinol further brings contemporary skincare formulation principles into hand care, alongside ingredients focused on hydration, barrier support and skin conditioning.

Designed Around Everyday Routines

For Aastha Chhabra Shingala, Founder, ROS Beauty, the launch reflects the brand’s wider philosophy of making beauty routines easier and more enjoyable.

“For us, Hand It Over felt like such a natural next step for ROS because we’ve always believed that beauty should make everyday routines feel a little more joyful and a little less complicated. We realised hand care was one of those things that often gets overlooked, something we remember when our hands feel dry, rather than something we genuinely enjoy doing. We wanted to change that, and make caring for your hands feel as considered, sensorial and effortless as the rest of your beauty routine.”

Rifaa Malik, Co-Founder, ROS Beauty, explains that the development process began with examining why hand care often fails to become a consistent part of consumers’ routines.

“When we started developing Hand It Over, one of the things we kept coming back to was why hand care was so often overlooked. We realised that a big part of it was the experience itself – traditional hand creams can feel heavy, take time to absorb and leave that slippery feeling behind, especially in the kind of weather we live in. So we started questioning the format: if people don’t enjoy using something, how do you make it part of their everyday routine? We wanted to create hand care that felt effortless enough to reach for throughout the day, while still delivering the kind of skincare benefits we expect from our beauty products. That’s what led us to the gel format, and became the starting point for everything we built around Hand It Over.”

With Hand It Over, ROS Beauty aims to reposition hand care from an occasional necessity to a more natural part of everyday skincare. By focusing on consumer behaviour and introducing a lightweight gel format, the brand is bringing a skincare-led approach to a category traditionally centred on conventional moisturising creams.

Hand It Over Moisturising Hand Gel is priced at ₹599 and is available for pre-order through ROS Beauty’s website, with shipping scheduled from September 5, 2026.
