TechnoSport, India’s largest activewear brand, has strengthened its supply chain with the launch of a 64,000 sq. ft. warehouse at Welspun One Logistics Park, Baglur, Bengaluru. The new facility is part of the company’s expansion strategy, increasing its controlled warehousing capacity by over 130% to support growing retail and direct-to-consumer (D2C) operations.

The warehouse is scheduled to expand by an additional 85,000 sq. ft. by the end of the year, taking TechnoSport’s total controlled warehousing capacity to nearly 1.49 lakh sq. ft. Combined with its 1 lakh sq. ft. finished goods warehouse in Tiruppur, the company has established a nationwide distribution network that supports inventory movement, retail replenishment, marketplace fulfilment, and online orders.

Currently, the Baglur facility stores around 1.8 million products and processes approximately 1 million pieces each month, with the capability to scale operations to 2 million pieces and infrastructure designed to support up to 3 million pieces per month as demand grows.

Puspen Maity, CEO, TechnoSport, said, “Our vision has always been to set the benchmark for activewear in India. The Baglur warehouse is a strategic milestone, reinforcing a national supply chain that integrates manufacturing, logistics, and technology at scale. It enables us to deliver with speed, maintain consistent availability, and elevate the customer experience across retail and D2C channels, fortifying TechnoSport’s leadership and operational foundation as we continue to grow nationwide.”

Sachin Tandon, Chief Planning and Supply Chain Officer, TechnoSport, added, “The launch of our Baglur warehouse marks a significant step in building a resilient, scalable, and technology-driven supply chain for TechnoSport. As our retail footprint and omnichannel presence continue to expand, this facility strengthens our ability to manage inventory efficiently, improve replenishment cycles, and ensure faster deliveries across key markets. Designed with future growth in mind, the warehouse gives us the flexibility to scale operations while maintaining high service levels for customers and partners.”

Highlighting the strategic importance of the investment, Sandeep Jhunjhunwala, Director of HRM & Modern Trade, TechnoSport, said, “Supply chain excellence has become one of the biggest competitive advantages in modern retail. The Baglur warehouse strengthens our distribution capabilities through improved inventory management, faster deliveries, and enhanced service levels across key markets. As we expand our footprint, the facility is expected to generate more than 200 direct and indirect employment opportunities.”

The warehouse currently employs over 120 people, with women accounting for nearly 30% of the workforce, and is expected to create over 200 direct and indirect jobs. It manages storage, fulfilment, inventory replenishment, returns, quality inspections, and repacking while enabling next-day delivery for online customers in Bengaluru.

Strategically located, the Baglur warehouse improves access to South India and supports nationwide distribution with connectivity to Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, and western India. Equipped with advanced technology systems, the facility is designed to enhance operational efficiency and enable faster, more reliable order fulfilment.
