Molteni&C Furnishes Luxury Residences at Manhattan’s 262 Fifth Avenue
Italian furniture and interior design brand Molteni&C has completed the interior furnishing of 262 Fifth Avenue, a luxury residential tower in Manhattan developed by Five Points Development Group. The project marks the first Manhattan residential collaboration between architecture studio Meganom and design practice Norm Architects, bringing together contemporary architecture, sustainable design and Italian craftsmanship.
Rising 860 feet across 52 storeys, the tower comprises just 26 full-floor and duplex residences designed to maximise natural light, privacy and panoramic views of the Manhattan skyline. The development has been built in accordance with Passive House principles, incorporating energy-efficient technologies such as 100 per cent fresh, triple-filtered air systems, radiant floor heating and advanced environmental controls to enhance indoor comfort and wellbeing.
Residents also have access to a range of premium amenities, including a double-height entrance lobby, a landscaped private arrival court, an automated parking garage with electric vehicle charging stations, a three-level panoramic terrace, fitness and wellness facilities, private treatment rooms and robotic storage systems.
The interior design, created by Norm Architects, follows the concept of a “sanctuary in the sky”, combining natural materials, understated finishes and carefully crafted details to create calm, elegant living spaces while maintaining a strong visual connection to the city.
Molteni&C’s furnishings have been integrated throughout the residences to complement the architectural vision of the development. Central to the interiors are the Prime kitchen, developed by the Molteni&C Research & Development department, and the Gliss Master Filo Door wardrobe system, both designed to establish a cohesive material palette and refined contemporary aesthetic.
Crafted from natural stone and wood veneers, the Prime kitchen combines functionality with minimalist design, reflecting the precision and craftsmanship associated with Italian manufacturing. The Gliss Master wardrobe system further enhances the interiors with clean architectural lines and integrated storage solutions, contributing to a seamless and sophisticated residential environment.
By combining architecture, premium furnishings and advanced building technologies, the project presents a contemporary approach to luxury urban living. The integration of Molteni&C’s interior solutions reinforces the development’s focus on timeless design, high-quality craftsmanship and modern residential comfort in the heart of New York City.
