The Senator Group India, the Indian subsidiary of UK-based The Senator Group, has announced that its Aura Lounge soft seating collection by Allermuir has won the 2026 HiP (Honoring Industry People & Products) Award in the Hospitality: Lounge Seating category. The collection, launched in India in December 2025, received the recognition during the 13th edition of the HiP Awards held at The Mart, Chicago, alongside NeoCon.
Created by acclaimed French designer Patrick Norguet, the Aura Lounge collection was recognised for its sculptural design, exceptional comfort, and modular versatility. Designed for hospitality, workplace, and collaborative environments, the seating system combines contemporary aesthetics with flexible configurations that enable designers to create adaptable and inviting spaces.
The latest recognition adds to the collection’s growing list of international accolades, following wins at the Inspire Awards for Best Soft Seating at BDNY and recognition from the International Interior Design Association (IIDA).
Commenting on the achievement, Vamsidharr Setty, Managing Director, India, The Senator Group, said the award reinforces Aura Lounge’s position as a leading hospitality seating solution. He noted that the collection offers refined comfort and flexibility for commercial and hospitality environments, including corporate lounges, breakout spaces, reception areas, hotels, cafés, and restaurants, while celebrating the successful collaboration between The Senator Group and Patrick Norguet.
The Aura Lounge collection features a highly modular design comprising multiple seating units, including convex and concave configurations with various back options. This flexibility allows designers to create customised layouts suited to diverse interiors. Characterised by soft, flowing lines and a sculptural silhouette, the collection is designed to deliver both visual appeal and lasting comfort while reflecting a philosophy of understated luxury.
The Senator Group India established its first showroom in Bengaluru in 2018, introducing its premium brands Senator and Allermuir to the Indian market. While Senator focuses on technology-driven office furniture solutions, Allermuir specialises in contemporary workplace systems and design-led soft seating.
