Lenzing AG has named Georg Kasperkovitz as its new Chief Executive Officer, effective June 1, 2026, following his tenure as Chief Operations Officer since 2025. His appointment, approved by the Supervisory Board, is part of a three-year mandate running until May 31, 2029.
Kasperkovitz will continue in his COO role alongside his new responsibilities as CEO. He has been overseeing the Fibre Division, including sales, production, and supply chain operations, while also driving the company’s performance improvement programme. Under his leadership, Lenzing has reported measurable gains in operational efficiency and profitability across its production sites.
As CEO, he will additionally take charge of global fibre sales, supply chain functions, and human resources, further expanding his strategic oversight of the organisation.
The Supervisory Board highlighted that the decision reflects strong internal leadership continuity, citing his successful execution of operational improvements and contribution to profitability. It noted that his appointment supports stability and stronger execution in a challenging market environment, while reinforcing Lenzing’s position as a leading integrated supplier of regenerated cellulose fibres.
Kasperkovitz stated that he is committed to advancing Lenzing’s transformation through a focused premium product strategy, continued implementation of performance programmes, and strengthening leadership capabilities. The company aims to grow in high-margin segments such as hygiene and filtration nonwovens, while advancing next-generation technologies including Tree-to-Textile.
He also emphasised ongoing efforts to improve cost efficiency and global competitiveness, with the goal of unlocking greater value creation across the organisation.
The Management Board structure remains unchanged, with Georg Kasperkovitz as CEO, Mathias Breuer as CFO, and Christian Skilich as CPO/CTO, alongside an unchanged six-member Executive Committee.
