Rare Rabbit, part of The House of Rare, has announced its entry into the travel gear segment through a strategic partnership with Escape Plan, marking a significant expansion into the lifestyle mobility category.

The collaboration introduces a design-first approach to premium travel gear, positioning luggage and travel accessories as an extension of personal style and identity rather than purely functional products. The partnership combines Rare Rabbit’s contemporary fashion aesthetic with Escape Plan’s focus on travel functionality and design innovation.

According to the brands, the move represents a long-term category expansion rather than a seasonal extension, reflecting the growing convergence of fashion, mobility, and lifestyle consumption in India’s premium market.

Speaking about the partnership, Manish Poddar, Founder and Creative Director of The House of Rare, said the initiative extends the Rare design philosophy beyond apparel while maintaining its focus on craftsmanship, detail, and aspirational consumer experiences.

Abhinav Pathak, Co-Founder and CEO of Escape Plan, highlighted the increasing demand for premium, design-led travel products as travel becomes more aspirational and lifestyle-oriented among Indian consumers.

The collaboration also reflects a broader shift within India’s premium retail ecosystem, where consumers increasingly seek consistency across fashion, travel, and lifestyle choices. With this launch, Rare Rabbit aims to establish travel gear as a dedicated lifestyle vertical built around contemporary Indian luxury and functionality.

The announcement also builds on the company’s broader cultural initiatives, including RareFore, a platform launched in 2025 focused on celebrating Indian creativity through music, food, art, culture, and storytelling.
