At the 79th edition of the Cannes Film Festival 2026, jewellery designer and entrepreneur Vandana M. Jagwani marked a significant global appearance in association with BMW, celebrating the convergence of jewellery, fashion, and contemporary global luxury.

A creative force in India’s evolving luxury landscape, Vandana M. Jagwani is the Founder and Partner of Vandals, India’s first designer lab-grown diamond jewellery brand, and the Creative Director of Mahesh Notandass, a heritage jewellery house known for fine craftsmanship and international presence. Her Cannes debut represents a strong statement for contemporary Indian jewellery design on a global cultural stage.

Styled by Shaleena Nathani, Vandana wore a holographic Ramikadi ensemble that blended futuristic glamour with modern Indian couture sensibilities. The look was particularly notable for its sustainability-driven approach, as it was reimagined from an outfit previously worn at her brother’s wedding, reflecting a growing movement towards rewear culture and conscious luxury in fashion.

Her ensemble was complemented by a statement high jewellery piece featuring a rare 28-carat heart-shaped diamond, surrounded by vivid emeralds and layered diamond detailing, creating a bold and luminous centrepiece that highlighted the intersection of craftsmanship and design innovation.

The collaboration between Vandana M. Jagwani and BMW at Cannes reflected a shared vision of progressive luxury, where innovation, craftsmanship, and cultural storytelling converge across fashion, jewellery, and design.

Speaking about the moment, Vandana M. Jagwani said:
“For me, this moment is incredibly special not only because it represents Indian jewellery design on a global platform like Cannes, but also because it marks a personal milestone in my journey as a designer and entrepreneur. I’ve always believed that luxury today is about individuality, emotion and storytelling, and being able to bring that perspective to a platform as iconic as Cannes feels truly meaningful.”

Her appearance at the festival’s 79th edition marks a defining international milestone, reinforcing the growing global recognition of India’s creative voices across jewellery, fashion, and luxury culture.
