Ahead of FESPA 2026 in Barcelona, Kornit Digital has officially announced the commercial availability of its Atlas MATRIX platform following the successful completion of a global beta program across leading production facilities in Europe and North America. The launch marks a significant development in digital apparel manufacturing by extending on-demand production capabilities to polyester, blended and sublimated fabrics.
Built on the company’s Atlas MAX PLUS platform, Atlas MATRIX introduces a unified production system capable of handling virtually any fabric type while maintaining premium retail quality, durability and industrial-scale productivity. The platform incorporates Kornit’s proprietary Karbon Shield process, enabling direct decoration on polyester and sublimated garments while overcoming dye migration challenges that have traditionally limited digital production.
First introduced at Konnections 2026, the system allows manufacturers to transition seamlessly between cotton, polyester and blended fabrics within a single workflow, helping improve operational efficiency while expanding application possibilities.
The platform has already undergone extensive validation through production testing with multiple global customers across Europe and North America. Early adopters have highlighted its print quality, improved hand feel, simplified operations and ability to unlock new business opportunities previously difficult to achieve using existing digital technologies.
Ronen Samuel said, “The apparel industry is rapidly shifting toward agile, on-demand production models that require far greater flexibility, efficiency and responsiveness. Atlas MATRIX represents a major step forward for the industry, enabling our customers to expand into new applications, simplify production and accelerate the transition to digital manufacturing at scale. The early feedback and production results we are seeing from customers are extremely encouraging. We have already generated a strong backlog of upgrade demand from our existing install base, alongside new system demand from both existing and new customers, further validating the market opportunity and excitement around the platform.”
Among the participants in the global beta program were major production providers operating across print-on-demand, customised apparel and large-scale fulfilment sectors.
Frederik Huhn stated, “We are already shifting meaningful polyester production volumes to Atlas MATRIX. We are particularly impressed with the possibility of direct printing on dye sublimated shirts, allowing us to decorate these highly visible and important but tricky items in a single step with the highest quality. The Atlas MATRIX will allow us to capture opportunities that were not accessible before.”
Rodney McDonald added, “Atlas MATRIX significantly expands what we can offer customers while simplifying production. The quality, feel and versatility we are seeing are extremely impressive.”
The launch further strengthens Kornit Digital’s position in sustainable, on-demand production by enabling more localised, agile and inventory-efficient manufacturing across a wider range of apparel applications.
Live demonstrations of Atlas MATRIX will be showcased during FESPA 2026 at Kornit’s booth 3A95.
