Kornit Digital has introduced the Presto MAX PLUS, a next-generation roll-to-roll system designed to extend digital textile production into new segments including footwear, automotive interiors, military applications, performance sportswear and premium furnishings. The system was unveiled at Texprocess 2026 in Frankfurt.
Building on the capabilities of the existing Presto MAX platform, the new solution offers a fully digital, single-step process that requires minimal setup and eliminates minimum order quantities. It supports a wide variety of fabrics while enabling water-free printing without the need for pre- or post-washing, significantly reducing resource consumption and environmental impact. At the core of the system is Kornit’s MAX technology, which delivers high-quality prints with a soft hand feel.
A key innovation in the Presto MAX PLUS is DuraTech™, a durability enhancement feature designed to improve resistance to wear, abrasion and flex. This enables its use in demanding applications such as footwear uppers and technical textiles. Additionally, the system incorporates patent-pending Precise Overprint technology, which ensures accurate image placement even on complex or unstable materials.
The platform has already demonstrated strong performance in footwear manufacturing, where it enables the use of functional inks to deliver customised features such as enhanced durability, compression and protection.
Commenting on the launch, Ronen Samuel, CEO of Kornit Digital, said, “Digital production is entering a new phase of industrial adoption, expanding into high-performance categories that require durability, precision and consistency at scale. Presto MAX PLUS extends the boundaries of what digital manufacturing can achieve, enabling brands and manufacturers to unlock new applications, operate with greater agility, and accelerate the shift toward a more sustainable production model.”
The system also supports white ink printing on dyed fabrics, expanded colour capabilities including neon options, and Kornit’s XDi technology for 3D effects. Automated quality control through QualiSet ensures consistent output across production environments.
Existing Presto MAX users can upgrade to the new system, allowing them to access expanded capabilities while maintaining their current infrastructure.
The Presto MAX PLUS was officially unveiled at Texprocess 2026 on April 21 at Messe Frankfurt.
