Kornit Digital has announced the acquisition of PrintFactory, marking a strategic move to accelerate the fashion and textile industry’s transition toward digital, on-demand production. The deal strengthens Kornit’s platform capabilities by integrating advanced workflow automation, colour management, and production software into its ecosystem.

The acquisition enhances Kornit’s ability to connect demand generation, production workflows, and fulfilment into a seamless digital infrastructure. By incorporating PrintFactory’s cloud-native technology, the company aims to streamline operations and enable consistent, high-quality output across diverse production environments.

A major focus of this move is the global screen-printing market, which continues to rely heavily on analogue processes. Despite increasing demand for digital manufacturing, many large-scale producers face challenges such as complex workflows, multi-technology coordination, and maintaining consistent output. PrintFactory’s solutions address these gaps by enabling unified workflow management and predictable production outcomes across different systems.

The integration also supports improved efficiency and scalability. From file preparation to final output, PrintFactory’s platform reduces ink and media waste while optimising production speed and consistency. These capabilities are particularly valuable for brands and manufacturers operating distributed production networks that require industrial-grade reliability.

Currently deployed across thousands of production sites, PrintFactory supports more than 3,500 device models and serves a global community of over 10,000 users. This extensive network strengthens Kornit’s reach and enhances its ability to support large-scale, on-demand manufacturing operations.

The acquisition aligns with Kornit’s broader platform strategy, which focuses on building a connected digital value chain. Its ecosystem integrates demand generation and fulfilment through KornitX, production workflow via PrintFactory, and manufacturing through its proprietary printing technologies and inks. This unified infrastructure aims to bridge the gap between consumer demand and production.

“This acquisition is about more than workflow or color management,” said Ronen Samuel, Chief Executive Officer of Kornit Digital. “It is about building the digital infrastructure the fashion industry needs to move from analog production to agile, on-demand manufacturing. By connecting demand generation, production workflow and manufacturing through one integrated platform, we are accelerating the industry’s transition to a new production model.”

Erik Strik, CEO of PrintFactory, added, “For more than three decades, PrintFactory has focused on solving real workflow and production challenges for professional print operations. Joining Kornit opens an exciting new chapter. Kornit’s global reach, innovation culture and platform vision will accelerate our roadmap and significantly expand the value we deliver to customers worldwide.”

The transaction is expected to close in the second quarter 2026. PrintFactory will continue operating from its headquarters in the Netherlands and will maintain its commitment to an open, technology-agnostic platform, serving its existing global customer base and partners across all markets, including those outside textile and apparel printing, as well as those operating mixed technology environments. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed, and the acquisition is not expected to have a material impact on Kornit’s near-term revenue or earnings.
