Crystal International Group Limited has joined the Reimagining Industry to Support Equality (RISE) initiative as part of its ongoing commitment to advancing women empowerment across global garment supply chains.

Aligned with its Sustainability Vision 2030, the Group’s participation in RISE focuses on preventing gender-based violence and harassment while promoting equitable workplaces within the apparel industry.

Expanding Women Empowerment in Vietnam

As part of this initiative, Crystal International rolled out the SERI Respect Programme in its factory in Vietnam, further strengthening its women empowerment efforts.

In the first cohort:

  • 190 Change Makers were trained

  • Training covered gender relationships, workplace harassment and communication skills

  • A formal Anti-Sexual Harassment Committee was established

Committee members received specialised training to prevent, identify and address workplace harassment cases, reinforcing a safer and more inclusive work environment.

Supporting a Majority Female Workforce

With women accounting for over 70% of the global workforce in the garment sector, the company continues to scale its initiatives to support female employees.

Through collaborations with customers and NGOs, Crystal International offers:

  • Professional development programmes

  • Skills training across job levels

  • Wellness and support initiatives

To date, the company has empowered more than 77,000 female employees globally, demonstrating its long-term commitment to workforce development and gender equality.

Leadership Perspective

Commenting on the initiative, Catherine Chiu said:

“Joining RISE membership signifies our momentum in scaling up impactful training across global operations. Going beyond, we envision that all our female employees could unleash full potential through diversified programmes while contributing to the equitable workplaces,”

Driving Industry-Wide Impact

Participation in the RISE programme reflects Crystal International’s broader commitment to ethical manufacturing, workplace dignity and sustainable business practices.

By investing in structured empowerment programmes and fostering respectful workplaces, the Group aims to create long-term positive impact across the fashion supply chain, while encouraging industry-wide progress towards gender equality.
