Indian Silk House Agencies, East India’s most trusted saree brand with a legacy spanning over five decades, has launched its first store in Silchar. This milestone marks the brand’s fourth outlet in Assam and its 63rd store nationwide, further strengthening its presence in the North East as it progresses towards becoming India’s largest saree retailer. Rooted in authenticity and craftsmanship, the brand brings its celebrated ‘Sarees of India’ concept to Silchar, showcasing the work of more than 15,000 artisans from over 60 weaving clusters across the country.

The new Silchar store presents a carefully curated range that includes Lightweight Sarees, Dailywear, Partywear, South Special, and The Heritage Collection. The Heritage Collection features classic weaves such as Banarasi, Katan Banarasi, Hyderabadi Katan, and Tussar, while the South Special Collection highlights an extensive assortment of Kanjivaram and Kanchipuram sarees. A strong focus on silk, including regional specialties like Assam Silk, adds to the offering, catering to everyday wear as well as festive and special occasions. To mark the opening, Indian Silk House Agencies is offering a limited-period inaugural Flat 10% discount across collections until 19 February 2026.

Commenting on the expansion, Mr. Darshan Dudhoria, CEO, Indian Silk House Agencies, said, “As the commercial hub of the Barak Valley, Silchar is an important market for us in Assam. Its evolving retail landscape aligns with our objective of making authentic weaves more accessible in emerging markets. The North East has a longstanding association with silk, and we are pleased to strengthen our regional presence with our first store in the city. Through our Heritage and South Special collections, we aim to offer customers in Silchar access to genuine weaves from across India, while continuing to support artisan communities that preserve these traditions.”

Currently, Indian Silk House Agencies operates 63 stores across 12 states, steadily expanding its footprint across Tier I to Tier IV cities while strengthening its omni-channel presence through its D2C platform, indiansilkhouseagencies.com. The Silchar launch reinforces the brand’s pan-India growth strategy and its commitment to long-term artisan partnerships and responsible retail expansion.
