When heritage meets haute couture, fashion becomes a cultural statement. At a recent high-profile wedding in Lahore, Nawaz Sharif’s granddaughter-in-law made exactly that statement by choosing Indian designers for her bridal celebrations.
Former Pakistani Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s grandson, Junaid Safdar, married Shanzeh Ali Rohale in an elaborate ceremony attended by family and close associates. Notably, the bride selected Indian couture for both her wedding events. As a result, her bridal wardrobe became a symbol of cross-border craftsmanship and shared design heritage.
For her mehendi, Shanzeh wore a lehenga from Sabyasachi Mukherjee’s Heritage Bridal Collection. The emerald green ensemble featured colour-blocked panels, floral motifs, and antique gold borders. Together, these elements created a rich yet balanced bridal look. Meanwhile, she paired the lehenga with kundan jewellery and a soft pastel dupatta, which added contrast and softness.

For the nikah ceremony, Shanzeh turned to Tarun Tahiliani. She wore a deep red Kashida saree that reflected timeless elegance.
