Poltrona Frau expands its Lepli collection with the introduction of a new chair and small armchair. Designed by Kensaku Oshiro, these additions join the existing indoor and outdoor stool, bench, and pouf within The Five Seasons Collection. Rather than introducing short-lived designs, the brand continues to build on concepts that mature over time.
Fashion-Led Design with Sculptural Elegance
The Lepli collection takes inspiration from the female silhouette. Soft curves define the form, while a cinched waist and slim belt detail accentuate structure. Moreover, top-stitched seams, piped edges, and delicate pin-tucks introduce sartorial references rooted in fashion.
Both the chair and armchair feature a padded, inclined backrest that wraps around the seat. As a result, the seating feels both inviting and supportive. The compact tub-like form sits on a bold barrel-shaped base that tapers toward the top and features a decorative leather band.
Multiple Configurations for Contemporary Living
To suit varied interiors, Poltrona Frau offers the Lepli chair and armchair in fixed, swivel, or wheeled versions. The swivel option allows a full 360-degree rotation and automatically returns to its original position. Meanwhile, the wheeled version integrates concealed casters that preserve the design’s clean visual profile.
Upholstery Options that Balance Texture and Tone
Poltrona Frau presents the Lepli seating in a wide range of upholstery choices. Customers can opt for full Pelle Frau leather from the ColorSphere, Nest, or Soulful collections, all Impact Less. Alternatively, the brand offers a 100 percent woven fabric version paired with a leather decorative band.
For a more layered look, designers can combine fabric on the seat and inner backrest with leather on the exterior. Additionally, when leather upholstery is selected, the decorative band can either match the tone or introduce a subtle contrast.
Built for Comfort and Durability
Poltrona Frau constructs the seat and base using birch plywood, while Polimex and poplar plywood shape the backrest. The brand uses polyurethane foam and polyester wadding to ensure lasting comfort and structural integrity. Consequently, the seating maintains both form and performance over time.
