Masaba Gupta continues to embrace her Indian heritage while thinking globally. Known for bold and expressive Indian fashion, she recently reached a new milestone in her international journey.

Showcasing “Art from the Eye of India”

She presented her work at the prestigious “Art from the Eye of India” event during Miami Art Week, a celebrated fusion of art, culture, and heritage. The showcase featured 20 exclusive pieces alongside the poetry of Rupi Kaur, offering audiences a rich cultural experience.

Parallel Celebrations at Art Basel and Design Week

This year also coincided with Art Basel, creating a parallel celebration during Miami Design Week. The event highlighted Indian art, fashion, dance, and design. Masaba welcomed artist Rajiv Menon and Angelle Le Siyang from Art Basel Asia as guest speakers. Their presence strengthened cultural exchange between India and the global art community.

Ghee-Shakkar: A Capsule Collection

Masaba Gupta, Founder & Chief Design Officer, said:
“India has always been my greatest inspiration. At Art Basel, Miami, I’m not just representing India—I’m unleashing it. What began as a playful exploration of prints has grown into one of India’s most recognized brands in fine jewellery and luxury bridal fashion.”

She added:
“I am thrilled to present a 20-piece capsule collection, Ghee-Shakkar, meaning clarified butter and sugar, symbolizing auspicious beginnings and abundance. It is a love letter to India and the world.”

A Vibrant Narrative in Fashion

The collection blends black-and-white motifs with vivid bursts of colour, culminating in a striking hot pink gulal. Designs draw inspiration from cosmic patterns, ancient cityscapes, and textures that are both timeless and evolving.

Building Global Connections

Through this showcase and her participation during Miami Design Week, Masaba aims to foster connections with art lovers and tastemakers worldwide. The event celebrates the richness of Indian art, culture, and heritage on one of the world’s most influential stages.
