NIFT Opens Admissions 2026, Offers New Fashion Design Course at Daman Campus

National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT), the country’s premier institution for fashion, management and technology, has opened its admission portal for the 2026 academic session. Candidates can now apply online for all undergraduate and postgraduate programmes, with the last date for submitting applications being 6 January 2026.

NIFT Daman, established as the 18th campus of NIFT, is a key higher-education institution for the Union Territory of Dadra & Nagar Haveli and Daman & Diu. For 2026, NIFT Daman will offer a four-year Bachelor of Fashion Design (B.Des) programme in addition to its existing four-year B.Des in Textile Design and the two-year Master of Fashion Management (MFM) programme. These programmes combine creative design, technology, and business management to prepare students for leadership roles in the fashion and apparel value chain.

Students from the Union Territory enjoy domicile-reservation benefits at NIFT Daman, giving local aspirants a significant advantage in securing admission. The Union Territory Administration and Hon’ble Administrator Shri Praful Patel have played a pivotal role in bringing this national institute to Daman and strengthening access to premier design education for local youth. Over the last three years, lot of students from schools in Dadra, Dudhni, Silvassa, and Daman have successfully joined NIFT Daman, while domicile MFM graduates from Dadra & Nagar Haveli and Daman & Diu are now well-placed in leading fashion and apparel companies in India and abroad.
