Zenitex’s Viral Desai Wins National Energy Conservation Award

Viral Sudhir Desai, widely known as the “Greenman,” has received the National Energy Conservation Award (NECA) 2025 in the Textile Small Unit category. His company, Zenitex, earned the Best Performing Unit Award for its consistent leadership in energy efficiency and conservation.

The award ceremony took place on National Energy Day in the presence of the Hon’ble President of India, Smt. Droupadi Murmu. This recognition marks Desai’s third consecutive Golden Trophy and his sixth National Award overall.

Zenitex has set industry benchmarks through sustained efforts in reducing energy consumption and adopting efficient production practices. The company continues to demonstrate how responsible manufacturing can drive both environmental and operational excellence.

Reacting to the honour, Viral Desai said the award reflects a collective commitment to protecting nature. He added that energy conservation remains a critical priority and reaffirmed his resolve to work towards a cleaner and greener future.
