ASICS Celebrates 17 Years with Tata Mumbai Marathon

ASICS, the global Japanese sportswear brand, has completed 17 years of partnership with the Tata Mumbai Marathon (TMM). To mark the milestone, the brand launched its latest performance running shoe, the GEL-NIMBUS 28, in Mumbai.

The unveiling took place at the ASICS store on Linking Road. Actor, entrepreneur, and fitness enthusiast Dino Morea attended the event alongside industry leaders and members of the running community.

As the official Sports Goods Partner for TMM 2026, ASICS continues to deepen its presence within India’s expanding sports and wellness ecosystem.

GEL-NIMBUS 28 Leads ASICS’ Marathon Season

ASICS has positioned the GEL-NIMBUS™ 28 as the hero running shoe for Tata Mumbai Marathon 2026. The model remains known for its cloud-like cushioning and reliable comfort.

This latest version weighs over 20 grams less than the previous model. As a result, runners experience a smoother and more effortless ride without losing the shoe’s signature plush feel.

Limited-Edition TMM 2026 Apparel Collection

Alongside the footwear, ASICS introduced a limited-edition TMM 2026 SM Graphic T-Shirt. The design draws inspiration from Mumbai’s evolving Coastal Road.

The graphic reflects progress, connectivity, and forward motion. Moreover, the illustrated running shoe symbolises movement and personal achievement.

The collection also includes 2-in-1 4-inch shorts, breathable mesh caps, and light mesh ankle socks. Together, these pieces help runners stay cool, dry, and focused on race day.

Rajat Khurana, Managing Director, ASICS India and South Asia, highlighted the significance of the long-standing association. He stated that running continues to shape India’s performance sports culture.
