Archroma and Fibre52 Announce Global Partnership

Archroma has partnered with Innovo Fiber LLC to distribute the patented Fibre52 technology worldwide. The agreement allows Archroma to become the exclusive global distributor of the low temperature, neutral pH bleaching system for cotton and cotton polyester fabrics. Together, the companies aim to scale a more sustainable bleach and dye process for mills and brands.

A Low Temperature System That Cuts Resource Use

Fibre52 replaces traditional high temperature caustic bleaching with a gentle, low temperature process. This method protects the cotton’s natural wax layer and improves fiber strength. It also reduces process weight loss by 2 to 4 percent. As a result, fabrics feel softer and need fewer added softeners.

Greater Efficiency When Paired With AVITERA SE

When mills use Fibre52 with Archroma’s AVITERA SE reactive dyes, they can cut water and CO₂ use by up to 50 percent. The combined system boosts dye uptake and delivers richer shades. It also shortens processing time, especially on cotton polyester blends. Because of this, mills can achieve higher efficiency with fewer resources.

Approved Chemistry With Global Technical Support

Under the agreement, Archroma will integrate Fibre52 into its worldwide sales and technical network. This gives mills easier access to the ZDHC MRSL v3.1 and OEKO TEX approved system. It also ensures strong technical support for mills switching to low impact bleaching and dyeing.

Versatile Processing for Cotton and Blended Fabrics

Fibre52 works across many fabric types and modern processing platforms. It performs well on cotton, cotton polyester, manmade cellulosics, and cotton rich blends. The system also supports greater use of recycled cotton. This helps mills move toward more circular production.

Driving Industrywide Sustainability

By combining Archroma’s reach with Fibre52’s patented innovation, the partnership aims to speed up the adoption of sustainable production methods. The companies expect the new system to help mills cut costs, save resources, and meet brand level sustainability goals.

Executive Perspectives

“Our goal has always been to make sustainable cotton processing the global standard,” said Laura Thornquist, President of Innovo Fiber LLC, owner of Fibre52®. “Through our partnership with Archroma, we can now deliver that vision at scale—combining Fibre52®’s neutral pH, caustic free technology with Archroma’s AVITERA® SE dyes to create a complete, low impact bleach and dye system. This is how the industry moves forward: practical innovation that improves performance, protects fibers, and dramatically reduces environmental impact.”

“This partnership is a strategic milestone that brings together Innovo Fiber’s groundbreaking technology and Archroma’s sustainability innovation. Together we are empowering the textile industry to achieve new levels of efficiency and environmental sustainability. This is a game changer for the industry and we are excited to lead the charge,” said Dhirendra Gautam, VP Commercial, Archroma. “With Fibre52®, we now deliver a unique, industry first solution, for cotton and its blends, as part of Archroma’s SUPER SYSTEMS+ portfolio.”
