Ludovica Serafini and Roberto Palomba introduce the new Blisscape sofa for Poltrona Frau’s 2025 The Five Seasons collection. The designers draw inspiration from the words “bliss” and “escape,” which also reflect the relaxed mood of Lou Reed’s Perfect Day. As a result, Blisscape creates an intimate, serene, and modern atmosphere.
Design That Elevates Everyday Comfort
Blisscape presents a modular structure that adapts naturally to different body postures. The reclining backrest includes an integrated mechanism that shifts smoothly as the user moves. This feature strengthens the idea of contemporary comfort, which Poltrona Frau continues to champion.
The sofa emphasises comfort through every detail. The generous seat cushions use high-performance padding inspired by mattress technology. Therefore, they offer breathability, softness, and shape retention. The backrest cushions also include a hidden mechanism that adjusts easily and supports the head.
Craftsmanship That Defines the Collection
Poltrona Frau places the sculpted cushioning on an elegant leather base. The base, covered in Pelle Frau leather, appears to float a few centimetres above the floor. This effect highlights the brand’s craftsmanship and refined design language.
The Blisscape sofa also allows a wide range of upholstery combinations. Users can coordinate the leather structure with fabrics or Pelle Frau leather cushions. Consequently, Blisscape offers a unique aesthetic and a highly personal design identity.

Structure, Materials, and Modularity
Poltrona Frau builds the frame using metal, solid beech, poplar, and birch plywood. The team pads the structure lightly and finishes it in Pelle Frau leather. The removable cushions for the seat, backrest, and armrests come in fabric or Pelle Frau leather. The seat cushions also offer soft or firm fill options.
Each backrest cushion can shift into a vertical, reclined, or inclined position. This flexibility comes from an advanced mechanism that combines foam and wadding. Since the sofa is modular and sectional, users can select from standard or large elements to create varied configurations.
