After closing his name-brand label for 17 years, Riccardo Tisci has revived it. Michaela Coel wore a specially made dress by the designer to the Thursday night London premiere of Black Panther: Wakanda Forever.
The actress wore a lace skirt that encircled her waist, Tisci’s all-black silk bodysuit, and elegant floral tights that exuded luxury. According to Business of Fashion, the romantic outfit was created in cooperation with Tisci, Coel, and her mother, Kwenua Osborne.
In a statement on the debut of the specially designed gown, Tisci said, “We thought this premiere in London—a city so near to both of us—would be the greatest moment to bring our conversations to life in a very special way.” It seemed like the right time to honour Riccardo Tisci, whose house gave me so many possibilities and propelled me to my current position.
