Altoteks, a leading Turkish manufacturer specializing in dyeing, finishing, and printing fabrics for workwear and uniforms, has installed its third Monforts Thermex continuous dyeing range. The company, headquartered in Çorlu, has been a trusted Monforts partner since 1996, marking nearly three decades of collaboration.

With an impressive annual dyeing and printing capacity of 18 million metres, Altoteks’ plant already operates two Monfortex ranges, a Montex finishing range, and several supporting systems—demonstrating its long-standing commitment to innovation and precision in textile processing.

Meeting the Highest Industry Standards

Altoteks has built a strong reputation for its expertise in technical textiles, particularly in the dyeing and finishing of para and meta-aramid fibre fabrics, as well as blended materials used in military and civil defence uniforms. The company also specialises in double dyeing and printing for polycotton, nylon-cotton blends, and ripstop camouflage fabrics.

Its advanced processes extend to modacrylic fabrics and flame-retardant cotton and viscose blends, all of which must comply with stringent durability and colour-fastness standards.

“Monforts Thermex technology is one of the cornerstones of our expertise,” says Mehmet Ucar, Owner of Altoteks. “We use the Thermex systems for continuous, disperse, and reactive dyeing. They are especially valuable for technical textiles and long-run reactive dyeing, where consistency and reliability are essential.”

Sustainability and Global Reach

“Thanks to its advanced infrastructure, skilled team, and eco-conscious production, Altoteks continues to strengthen its position both domestically and internationally,” adds Thomas Päffgen, Area Sales Manager, Monforts.
“By prioritizing quality, sustainability, and customer satisfaction, the company has earned recognition in specialized textile markets across Europe, Asia, the USA, and Africa.”

The New Thermex Line and Econtrol® Process

The latest installation is a two-metre-wide Thermex line featuring three linked Thermex units for continuous dyeing and thermosoling, integrated with gas-powered infrared predryers that offer high evaporation rates in compact space, and cold pad batch (CPB) winding for added flexibility.

To meet the growing trend of smaller dyeing lots and simpler processing, the new system includes the Econtrol® process, developed by Monforts and DyStar. This one-pass pad-dry-wash-off technique ensures rapid and efficient fixation of reactive dyes within two to three minutes at 120–130°C and 25–30% humidity.

“The Econtrol® process offers a major advantage for Altoteks,” explains Mehmet Ucar. “It enables faster, more economical production while maintaining superior quality in high-volume dyeing.”

He further notes, “The installation was completed in just one month, thanks to the support of Monforts, its local agent Neotek, and our technical team. The machine began production seamlessly with consistent service support from Monforts.”

Econtrol® is a registered trademark of DyStar Colours Distribution GmbH, Germany.
