Archroma, a global leader in specialty chemicals and sustainable textile solutions, will spotlight innovations that deliver sustainable performance for functional fabrics at Performance Days 2025 in Munich.
The company’s experts will present new dyes and finishes proving that high-performance textiles and environmental responsibility can go hand in hand. The showcased solutions cater to sportswear, athleisure, and workwear, where durability, comfort, and sustainability are equally essential.
“It is no longer true that you need to sacrifice high performance for sustainability,” said Dhirendra Gautam, Vice President, Commercial, Archroma. “Whether it’s colors that stay vibrant wash after wash or softness that lasts without losing absorbency, we’re showing brands they can achieve both performance and sustainability.”
HIGH IQ® LASTINGCOLOR PRO: Durability Meets Sustainability
Archroma will highlight its HIGH IQ® LASTINGCOLOR PRO series, including LASTINGCOLOR PRO and LASTINGBLACK PRO, part of the company’s global performance assurance program. These solutions deliver sustainable color retention for garments that stay new-looking even after repeated washes.
Powered by AVITERA® SE reactive dyes, this technology enables mills to reduce water and energy consumption by up to 50%. It is ideal for high-visibility workwear and activewear, offering strong color durability that withstands up to 50 washes while meeting the textile industry’s strict environmental standards.
SILIGEN® D2W LIQ C: Softness Without Sacrificing Absorbency
At Performance Days, Archroma will also debut SILIGEN® D2W LIQ C, the first durable silicone softener for cellulosic and cotton-lycra blends that maintains both softness and absorbency.
Traditionally, softeners either compromised absorbency for durability or faded quickly. Archroma’s patent-pending micro-x chemistry solves this issue, forming a stable silicone network within fibers. The result is a long-lasting softness and wash resistance—perfect for functional fabrics requiring comfort and moisture control.
This innovation also introduces quantifiable handfeel measurement, offering brands transparent data on softness durability.
