Birla Cellulose has launched Liva Reviva™ M, India’s first mechanically recycled cellulosic fibre. It contains up to 50% post-consumer textile waste. This fibre marks a major step toward circular fashion and provides a scalable solution to global textile waste.

Every year, the world produces 92 million tonnes of textile waste, and this figure is expected to rise by 45% over the next five years. Liva Reviva™ M transforms discarded clothing into premium, wearable fibre.

Liva Reviva™ M is not just sustainable—it is the future of fashion. It rewires how garments are made, worn, and reborn,” said Mr. Manmohan Singh, CMO, Birla Cellulose.

Key Features of Liva Reviva™ M:

  • Made entirely from plant-based materials with high cellulosic content

  • Soft, breathable, and gentle on the skin

  • Offers fluid drape and a premium handfeel

  • Certified by GRS and FSC®

The fibre works well in products ranging from denims to knitted wear. Fashion brands are already integrating it into collections. Liva Reviva™ M repurposes textile waste into high-performance garments. It shows that waste can become a valuable resource.

With this launch, Birla Cellulose, part of the Aditya Birla Group, strengthens its position as a global leader in sustainable fashion solutions.
