Circulose, a leader in textile recycling, has entered into an exclusive partnership with Jilin Chemical Fiber to market and sell viscose filament yarn made with CIRCULOSE® globally between 2026 and 2028. The collaboration aims to accelerate large-scale adoption of next-generation textile fibers.
Jilin’s viscose filament yarn, JIRECELL®, currently blends 30% CIRCULOSE® with 70% certified wood pulp, with plans to raise recycled content to 50%. Following years of collaboration and validation, both companies are scaling up production to meet growing international demand for sustainable viscose filament yarn.

Jilin has pledged to annually increase its purchase of CIRCULOSE® pulp. Any surplus not used in JIRECELL® will be applied across its wider fiber portfolio at lower concentrations. This strategy aligns with Jilin’s collaboration with Canopy to reduce reliance on Ancient and Endangered Forest inputs and adopt circular cellulose solutions. As the first global fiber producer to commit to this model, Jilin is reinforcing its leadership in circularity while ensuring stability for recyclers like Circulose to expand at scale.
