ASICS, the Japanese sportswear brand, launched its new GEL-DS TRAINER 14 sneaker at an exclusive event at Late Checkout, Mumbai, blending 2000s nostalgia, sneaker culture, and modern fashion. Guests, including content creators and sneakerheads, arrived on an ASICS-branded double-decker bus, celebrating the brand’s growing SportStyle category.
Inspired by the original 2009 silhouette, the GEL-DS TRAINER 14 brings together performance heritage and contemporary design. It features iconic quarter-panel details, open mesh uppers, and a lightweight build, making it ideal for daily wear. Available in Truffle Grey/Pure Silver and White/Tai Chi Yellow, the unisex sneakers retail for INR 9,999.
“We’re not just introducing a sneaker but a lifestyle,” said Rajat Khurana, MD, ASICS India & South Asia. “The GEL-DS TRAINER 14 marks a pivotal moment as we deepen our commitment to SportStyle.”
The launch event also featured interactive experiences like a brand memory wall, highlighting ASICS’ cultural legacy. The collection is now available in ASICS retail outlets and online platforms across India.
