Skechers has signed Indian cricket ace Jasprit Bumrah as its newest brand ambassador, strengthening its presence in the sport. The celebrated fast bowler will now wear Skechers Cricket footwear and appear in campaigns supporting the brand’s performance and lifestyle segments.
Bumrah joins fellow Indian cricketers Ishan Kishan and Yastika Bhatia on Team Skechers. The brand is also the official kit sponsor of the Mumbai Indians, further expanding its influence in Indian cricket.
“I chose Skechers for its blend of performance and comfort—qualities every bowler values,” said Bumrah, who was recently honoured with the Sir Garfield Sobers Award as the 2024 ICC Men’s Cricketer of the Year. His impressive career includes over 400 international wickets, leading India to the 2024 World Cup win, and becoming the first bowler to top ICC rankings across all formats.
Skechers South Asia CEO Rahul Vira praised Bumrah’s alignment with the brand’s values of innovation and excellence. “He exemplifies what Skechers stands for—comfort that delivers on the field,” he said.
The Skechers Cricket Elite and Cricket Blade ranges cater to different playing styles, offering high-performance traction and agility through advanced spike configurations.
The Skechers athlete lineup also includes footballer Sunil Chhetri, global sports stars like Harry Kane, Joel Embiid, and Brooke Henderson, positioning Skechers as a rising force in performance sportswear.
