HimGra®, a revolutionary sustainable fiber developed by Dev Ethical Sustainable Crafts and Textiles (DESCATUK) from Uttarakhand, has received an invitation from FICCI and DPIIT to showcase its innovation at Startup Mahakumbh 2025, India’s largest startup event, held from April 3-5, 2025, at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi. This invitation marks a major achievement for HimGra®, a zero-cultivation carbon footprint fiber, recognized for its waterless, mechanical fiber extraction process and its positive impact on rural communities.

As a recipient of the Hindu Kush Himalaya Innovation Challenge for Entrepreneurship, HimGra® has been endorsed by IIT Mandi Catalyst, Fashion for Good, and global brands. During the event, HimGra® will unveil its latest fiber, yarns, and luxury fabrics for use in apparel, home textiles, knits, and denim, along with the launch of its commercial cultivation led by Self-Help Groups (SHGs) in Uttarakhand.
