Air India recently overhauled its frequent flyer programme, and in its refreshed form, Maharaja Club, aims to evoke ‘that special feeling’ across various touch points in your journey. While flying with Air India is the most common and obvious way to earn Maharaja Points, it is not the only way you can get closer to an Award Flight or a Cabin Upgrade. Air India has opened up several new avenues for you to earn points and maximise rewards without having to fly frequently. Here are five ways to do so.

1)      Stay at partner hotels

Staying at a hotel partner of Maharaja Club is one of the easiest methods to accrue Maharaja Points. In addition to other hotel chains, you can select from the opulent properties of Soneva properties in Thailand and the Maldives, The Leela Palaces, Hotels & Resorts, The Roseate Hotels & Resorts properties in India, and Evolve Back resorts in Karnataka and Africa. Moreover, OneFinerate.com’s “Quote Your Rate®” function allows you to personalise your reservation experience. For every INR 100 spent during your stays at these properties, you can earn five to seven Maharaja Points. You can earn enough points during a quick vacation or business trip to be eligible for an Air India Delhi-Mumbai Economy Award Flight.

2)      Explore new experiences

The Maharaja Club has connections with a number of well-known international tourist destinations. Among these are the five LEGOLAND® theme parks located in California, New York, Dubai, and Windsor, UK, as well as the Madame Tussauds museums located in Bangkok, Dubai, London, New York, and Singapore. Additionally, you can use Get Your Guide or Isango, a global online marketplace for travel activities, to book tours, travel activities, and experiences for your upcoming trip!In 150 locations, you may accrue Maharaja Points for 110,000 expertly selected, locally vetted events. You can choose Matrix foreign e-SIMs with customised plans to stay connected while travelling.

Maharaja Club has made it possible to earn points when you purchase at your preferred luxury and lifestyle brands in any of The Bicester Collection’s nine outdoor shopping villages throughout Europe, in recognition of the growing popularity of these establishments. When you reserve cruises on iCruise, which offers more than 40 major cruise lines, including Royal Caribbean International, Norwegian Cruises, MSC Cruises, Disney Cruises, Costa & Cunard, and many more, you may also accrue Maharaja Points.

3)      Earn on everyday spends

With Maharaja Club’s expanding network of lifestyle partners, you may accrue Maharaja Points for regular haircuts or spa treatments at the upscale barbershop Truefitt & Hill, as well as for purchasing any Apple product. Additionally, you may accrue points by sending gifts and flowers to your loved ones on important occasions via well-known gift shops like IGP or Ferns N Petals. You may also buy your regular skincare and body care items from Kiehl’s, maintain your fitness objectives with FITPASS, browse for fashionable clothing at United Colours of Benetton, and take advantage of wellness treatments at Tattva. You may simply increase your Maharaja Points balance by making all of these purchases.

4)      Book car rentals

Naturally, local transit at the destinations you visit is a part of the ideal vacation planning. To facilitate the collection of Maharaja Points on automobile rentals, Maharaja Club has also partnered with top car rental companies like Discover Cars, AVIS, and Zoomcar. Discover Cars is an aggregator that allows you to compare rates and deals from different vehicle rental businesses. Zoomcar offers you flexible self-drive rental alternatives throughout India, while AVIS is a well-known international car rental company with a large selection of vehicles for both self-drive and chauffeur-driven car rentals.
