Lanvin, the storied Parisian fashion house, is poised to make a significant return to the fashion calendar. The brand announced Tuesday that its debut show under new artistic director, Peter Copping, will take place during the upcoming January menswear season in Paris.

This intimate runway presentation will showcase both women’s and men’s ready-to-wear collections for the Autumn-Winter 2025 season. By strategically choosing the less-crowded menswear calendar, Lanvin aims to position its return as a major highlight of the fashion week.

This strategic move comes as other notable fashion houses are making significant changes to their presentation schedules. Roman fashion house Valentino has opted out of menswear week, favoring fewer, gender-fluid collections under the creative direction of Alessandro Michele. Additionally, the much-anticipated debut show of Chanel’s next creative director, yet to be officially announced, is likely to dominate the upcoming women’s fashion week.

Peter Copping, a renowned British designer with a distinguished career at Balenciaga, Oscar de la Renta, and Nina Ricci, is set to infuse Lanvin with a fresh perspective. His inaugural collection for the house promises to embody the essence of “le chic ultime,” a phrase coined by founder Jeanne Lanvin to encapsulate the ultimate elegance and sophistication synonymous with the brand.
