Converse has increased its women’s footwear offerings in India, introducing the ‘Run Star Trainer’. The sneaker style, now available in five colorways, is ideal for on-the-go shopping.

The sneaker is now available for purchase in India on Converse’s direct-to-customer e-commerce store, priced at Rs 6,499, according to a press release. The sneaker is comprised of nylon, suede, and leather and comes in the colors ‘Black’, ‘Egret’, Blue, ‘Red’, and ‘Golden Wren’.

“With a fresh take on form, fit, and function, the Run Star Trainers are an evolution of the Converse line-up,” the brand said in a press release. “It is founded in Converse’s real sports heritage and DNA, drawing on recognized histories and designs to rethink footwear from the ground up. More than 20 legacy favorites, designed specifically for karate, fencing, soccer, track, and even pole racing, inspired the all-new style, resulting in a shoe that is nostalgic, iconic, and forward-thinking enough to match the demands of modern life.”

Converse, headquartered in Massachusetts and formed in 1908 as a rubber firm, is now a completely owned subsidiary of Nike Inc. The business is well-known for its famous sneakers, including the Chuck Taylor All Star, One Star, and Weapon, and it sells both online and in stores worldwide.
