The TVC media team got the chance to speak with Manish Bhavnani, the proprietor of the Manaca shop. which is found in Mumbai. We get the chance to learn more about his adventure. He was the first person in his family to establish a fashion design company without having any formal training in the industry. He was passionate in creating his own brand and learning about fashion. After he launched the company, her sister joined him, designing clothing for ladies that was bohemian, ethnic, athletic, and other styles.

What intentionally draw your attention to the fashion industry?
Since my early years, I have been passionate about dressing well, which makes fashion an extremely versatile item. There isn’t a single person from that industry in my neighborhood or home. I had a strong desire to look well since I wanted to be noticed by my friends and family. Later on, I used to work on designs, make some sketches, compose some drafts. Although I haven’t learned as much as you guys have, fashion is in my blood, thus I started the industry knowing nothing about academics.
Which current fashion trends are your favorites?
Streetwear is pretty fashionable these days. 90s style includes coord sets, lengthier t-shirts, flowy shirts with plenty of prints, and material. Nowadays, cargos are very popular, much like the technical cargos that we work with in Manaca. I own a brand called Manaca, which functions something like a retail store. However, I also have an online brand called Manaca.in, which is doing really well in the streetwear sector, which is currently extremely popular in the market.
What part does technical evolution play in the fashion industry, in your opinion?
There could be no fashion without technological advancement. You must employ technology in all you do. Fashion is more than just making a product; it’s about the details. Size, composition, and technical aspects are all important, and you cannot work in the industry without technical understanding.
Which iconic person, in your opinion, has a greater sense of style?
Ranveer Singh is someone who, in my opinion, can wear anything. Even if you were to give him a basic t-shirt, he would find a way to pair it with a great pair of jeans or a cargo. He is a fantastic fashion in the market since he can carry a dhoti, lehenga, or anything else; in this way, he is like a fashion inspiration for the fashion industry, whether he is dressed in cargo pants and a Goa-style tee.
