Sandro, a French brand owned by the SMCP group, uses artificial intelligence (AI) to assist clients in selecting the appropriate size. Sandro announced a collaboration with Fringuant, a platform that uses body scanning technology to help you find ‘the appropriate clothes size’, on LinkedIn.

The AI-powered technology allows online consumers to identify their size using variables such as height and weight, as well as a provided photo of their face.

Speaking to clients on its website, Sandro assured them they could “discover their ideal size with a simple photo.” In less than two minutes, users are asked to enter their height and weight and take a photo because “a face says a lot about [us].” Based on the information provided, the program analyzes the consumer’s profile in a few seconds and recommends ‘the optimal size’.
