Milan The first location of The Wilde members club will be a villa on a peaceful, green street in central Milan that once belonged to Santo Versace and his family.
Founded by chairman and creator Gary Landesberg, it will open in October with architectural design by Fabrizio Casiraghi and creative direction by Alasdhair Willis. The caliber of the group is a reflection of Landesberg’s background as an investor, having been a longtime player in the European and British leisure and hospitality industries. He oversaw the inauguration of The Arts Club Dubai as well as the rebranding of the London-based club during his ten years as executive chairman and shareholder of The Arts Club.

Following The Wilde in Milan, locations with site-specific art collections are slated to open in London, New York, and Los Angeles.”
Landesberg clarified in a Milan interview that he believed the city lacked a quality private members’ club. “Milan is a very international city, with great food, culture, and significance in the fashion industry,” the statement reads. Securing the first outpost for the new enterprise required locating the perfect structure.

“It’s an amazing street. Obviously, we’ve got residents nearby and we have to be very mindful of what’s going on in the area. But as a location, it’s fantastic. Because you’re right in the center, but you don’t feel like you’re on a busy street. It’s quite special,” Landesberg said.
