Alexander McQueen is set to unveil its Autumn/Winter 2024 collection in Paris on Saturday, March 2nd, at 8 p.m. CET. This marks the first collection under the creative direction of Seán McGirr, who took on the role in October, succeeding Sarah Burton.

Born in Dublin in 1988, McGirr is an Irish national and a graduate of Central Saint Martins in London. He earned his Master of Arts in Fashion in 2014 under the guidance of the late professor Louise Wilson, known for shaping some of the industry’s brightest talents. McGirr brings a wealth of experience to the role, having served as the head of ready-to-wear at JW Anderson and worked with renowned names such as Dries Van Noten, Uniqlo, Burberry, and Vogue Hommes Japan.

As the new creative director, expectations are high for McGirr to bring innovation while honoring the rich heritage of the iconic Alexander McQueen brand. The upcoming showcase will feature both womenswear and menswear, offering a glimpse into the future direction of this influential fashion house.
