Levi Strauss & Co’s athletic and lifestyle brand, Beyond Yoga, announced a change in leadership as co-founder Michelle Wahler steps down as CEO. Nancy Green, former CEO and president of Athleta, known for her successful brand-building at Athleta and Old Navy, will assume the role of CEO starting February 1.

Green, a seasoned retailer, is credited with transforming Athleta through initiatives like the ‘Power of She’ platform, innovative product lines, and a focus on sustainability. Under her leadership, Athleta’s revenues surged from $250 million to nearly $1 billion.

Having served on boards like Marine Layer and Allbirds, Green’s extensive experience positions her to usher in a new era of growth for Beyond Yoga, according to a press release. Levi Strauss & Co. Believes Green’s retail expertise will unlock the brand’s full potential, marking an exciting time for Beyond Yoga’s future.

LS&Co. Acquired Beyond Yoga in 2021, providing Levi’s entry into activewear. Beyond Yoga, contributing nearly $100 million to net revenue in FY22, opened its first store in Santa Monica in 2022 and now boasts six stores. The change in leadership is seen as a natural progression for the brand’s continued growth.
