In 2023, Nike took the lead as the most popular e-commerce brand in the UK, drawing over 1.8 million monthly searches. ASOS also made it to the top five, securing a high search volume but landed in fifth place due to lower social media scores.

Ikea followed closely as the second prominent brand with 3.5 million monthly searches and a strong social media presence. However, the e-commerce industry faced a 28% dip in overall organic growth, indicating a shift in consumer demand.

Ann Summers emerged as a rising star with a remarkable 1,258% increase in visibility, highlighting brands to watch for their substantial market growth. On the flip side, Boots experienced the largest drop in visibility by 58%, followed by John Lewis & Partners (down 42%), M&S, and Next.

The impact of the pandemic and cost-of-living challenges prompted significant shifts in consumer behavior. E-commerce brands must adapt their strategies to navigate the changing landscape and address the decline in organic growth.
