Pickle, the peer-to-peer rental marketplace, celebrated the grand opening of its first physical store in Manhattan’s West Village on Saturday. This new space allows customers to rent stylish designer clothing and accessories from the trendsetting individuals of New York City.

At the heart of Pickle’s store is a curated and ever-changing collection of fashionable designs, labels, and accessories sourced from the chic closets of New York City residents. Expert stylists, both in-store and online, are available to assist customers in selecting the perfect rental for any occasion. Moreover, the store serves as a hub for content creation.

Established in 2021, Pickle has gained a substantial online following, reaching tens of thousands of users. The platform’s presence on TikTok, where users share ‘get ready with me’ videos and personal wardrobe tours using the hashtag #ShopOnPickle, has garnered millions of views. With over 50,000 items listed, Pickle facilitates the rental of items from notable figures like Lauren Wolfe and Kit Keenan.

Driven by a mission to make fashion rental more community-oriented, valuable, and convenient, Pickle transitioned from being solely an online platform to opening its physical store. Brian McMahon, CEO and co-founder of Pickle, expressed the brand’s commitment to making high-quality items accessible, circular, and affordable in every community through convenient peer-to-peer rentals.

The store’s opening comes on the heels of an $8 million seed fund investment, co-led by FirstMark Capital and Craft Ventures, signaling the brand’s growth and commitment to transforming the fashion rental landscape.
