Balenciaga is set to venture into the realm of functional athletic gear and technical outerwear with its latest collection. This luxury fashion house is introducing a range of advanced ready-to-wear items, accessories, equipment, and gear that seamlessly blend cutting-edge materials with the distinctive Balenciaga style.
A notable feature of this collection is the inclusion of functional athletic gear, such as snowboards, skis, helmets, and poles tailored for various activities like downhill skiing, cross-country skiing, and hiking. Balenciaga is breaking new ground by offering this range of sports equipment.
On the apparel side, the collection presents parkas and cargo pants constructed from membrane-bonded technical ripstop fabric, complete with integrated snow gaiters, ventilation systems, battery-saving pockets, and ski pass holders. These features are designed to ensure that wearers remain comfortable and well-prepared on the slopes.
Staying true to Balenciaga’s classic silhouettes, the collection also encompasses jackets and vests made from quilted matte nylon, five-pocket ski pants crafted from bonded stretch nylon, and form-fitting fleece jackets.
Among the notable ready-to-wear items are waterproof fleece-lined jeans made from blue stretch denim. In the accessory department, there are padded gloves made from durable ripstop fabric, a ribbed knit beanie with foldable sunglass lenses, and an array of cold weather-specific leggings, socks, facemasks, gloves, and scarves. These items sport a sporty, reflective Balenciaga logo.
The collection also offers two distinct footwear options. The Alaska Boot reimagines the typical arctic shoe with oversized proportions and a unique stylistic edge. The 3XL Ski Sneaker is a snow-capable version of the original 3XL, designed to withstand harsh winter conditions.
