The evening of July 25th, Kiara Advani, a well-known Bollywood actress, served as the star attraction as Falguni Shane Peacock unveiled a spectacular collection of occasion wear for men and women. A ballet performance and life-sized white elephant sculptures were included in the New Delhi display at India Couture Week.
For women, the collection blended enormous lehengas with bralette-style tops in hues ranging from green to white, while the men’s ensembles were incredibly extravagant yet expertly made. To wrap up a collection that was a real fusion of tradition and modern glitz, Kiara Advani finished the show in a form-fitting pink lehenga entirely covered in glittering accents.
Renu Oberoi Luxury Jewellery, the jewellery sponsor of the show, added traditional-style glitz to the dramatic costumes. Diamond jewellery is Renu Oberoi’s speciality, and she is headquartered in Mumbai.
The Delhi area will host India Couture Week from July 25 to August 2. To make the runway shows accessible to the public, they are also live-streamed online. This season’s contributing designers include JJ Valaya, Ritu Kumar, Varun Bahl, and Gaurav Gupta.
