Wheat fields to the Versailles Palace! Simon Porte Jacquemus aspires to be a professional athlete. This time the designer has chosen nothing less than the most prestigious of royal estates, in contrast to his previous presentations that took place in pastoral settings like wheat fields in Val-d’Oise and lavender fields in Provence. The event will take place on June 26 at 2 PM, the day following the conclusion of Paris Men’s Fashion Week.

Jacquemus is succeeding exceptionally well and appears to be setting ever-higher goals, deftly following in the footsteps of Chanel and Christian Dior, who have previously used this iconic location to display their collections. The goal is to establish a presence in an increasingly upscale market.

The designer confesses in a brief remark, “I was so intrigued by this historic location during the creative process that it prompted me to explore numerous creative alternatives, different from my previous shows, but nonetheless extremely Jacquemus. “As an independent fashion brand, I feel incredibly privileged and proud to be allowed to do a presentation at Versailles. For Jacquemus, it will be a really significant occasion.

In order to maintain the element of surprise, the fashion house chose not to provide any additional information regarding the precise location of the show. Even if the company continues to display outside of the conventional fashion calendar and releases collections that are not necessarily in sync with the seasons, all it states is that the collection is called “Le chouchou” and it spans the months of fall and winter in 2023 and 2024.

Major luxury groups are showing interest in Jacquemus, which has been expanding significantly in recent years. According to Glitz.paris, it claims to have doubled its revenue in 2022, reaching 212 million euros, and is aiming for 500 million euros by 2025, “notably via an extension of the boutique on Avenue Montaigne”.
