BIRKENSTOCK, the global German lifestyle brand and inventor of the footbed, celebrates another milestone moment in the Indian subcontinent with the grand opening of its newest store in the bustling city of Bengaluru. Popularly known for its exceptional functionality and quality, BIRKENSTOCK’s history can be traced as far back as 1774. After having successfully launched multiple stores in India spanning a network of monobrand stores, the new store in Bengaluru will offer the brand’s most immersive experience yet.
This new BIRKENSTOCK store in Bengaluru is a tribute to the brand’s heritage and legacy, featuring a sprawling 4,000 sq ft of retail space on Brigade Road. The store has been thoughtfully designed with two engaging levels, providing ample space to showcase the brand’s assorted product collection. On the ground level, customers can explore over 200 differ-ent models from the German shoe manufacturer, including classic silhouettes such as Gizeh, Madrid, Boston, Milano & Mayari, along with the newly launched Spring Summer 2023 collection.
Moving up to the first level, customers can indulge in a dedicated space featuring the brand’s most iconic silhouette – the BIRKENSTOCK Arizona, launched in 1973, which celebrates its 50 years of inception this year. This style has become the brand’s best-selling and most popular offering, where fashion meets functionality, and is available in a diverse range of materials, colors and more than 150 Arizona are available for purchase. The first floor also features an experiential section featuring specialized walls of different materials used by BIRKENSTOCK to create their patented footbed technology, such as leather, felt, cork and more. Additionally, the store will showcase the unique “Hourglass Exhibition” by BIRKENSTOCK, for the first time in India. The exhibition offers a captivating journey into the brand’s rich legacy as a purposeful brand with strong orthopedic roots in shoemaking.
