UK’s Future Fabrics Expo 2023 to host sustainable fashion seminars

From June 26–28, 2023, Future Fabrics Expo in London, UK, will host a lecture series aimed at providing and promoting sustainable solutions for the fashion and textile sector. The materials sourcing showcase at the expo, which is the biggest, most comprehensive presentation of textiles and technologies that are ethically made and supplied sustainably, runs concurrently with the seminar series.

Attendees get the opportunity to participate in lively conversations at the seminars about important issues including environmental protection, sustainability, and innovative development in the fashion business. As stated in a press release from The Sustainable Angle.

The seminar series will feature Nicole Rycroft and Valerie Langer from Canopy, the trailblazing non-profit organization reshaping the viscose supply chain; Sophia Kianni, founder of Climate Cardinals, who is the youngest-ever UN advisor and championing the translation of climate information; Shilpa Yarlagadda of Shiffon Co., who is utilizing her jewelry line to increase women’s access to venture capital funding; and founder Luke Haverhals from Natural Fiber Welding. 

The webinars will also include Cyrill Gutsch, the founder and CEO of Parley for the Oceans, Amy Congdon from Biofabricate, who are leading authorities in biomaterial education, Annabelle Hutter from Santis Textiles, who proposed the first 100% recycled cotton in the world, Bianca Pitt from SHE Changes Climate, who advocates for gender inclusion in climate decision-making, and Cyndi Rhoades, the founder of Worn Again Advances in technology and co-founder of Circle-8 Innovations,

The series will begin on June 26 from 12 to 6 p.m. and on June 27 and 28 from 9 to 6 p.m.
